Hallelujah

Good evening,
Things have been a little crazy this week... I finished my last 3 finals (yay!), and I think I did pretty well. Only one grade has been submitted so far, but I'm pretty happy with it. I love when things work out as they should, especially when you know you earned it. *sigh of relief*

I'm glad it's finally starting to warm up outside, the cold weather does not suit me. I'm not so into 12 degree weather, shocking, I know. Plus, it's not even snowing, so how is that worth it? It's not, believe me.

I've been happy to be able to relax since I got out of school on Wed., I plan on making the most of this break (until Jan. 4th) and seeing as many people and doing as many things as possible. Christmas shopping begins this coming week, too bad I'm unemployed now, otherwise I'd be much more excited. But, Christmas is only 12 days away and I'm excited to see my family and have everyone in my cozy little home. No matter how broke we all are, it'll still be Christmas with everyone here.

Now, I'll be watching a movie, or something, and painting the bathroom. I'm a nocturnal creature, embrace it. Sleep well, stay warm.

Hello Sunshine

Well, hello again.

I have been sitting on my computer watching these Youtube videos from a girl named Natalie and she lives in Australia. She's pretty hilarious and puts a lot of time and effort into making really entertaining videos, so props to her. Youtube search: Community Channel, to find her. So there's a little bit of what I'm into right now...

Finals are going on right now, pretty exciting. I have one down (Women's Studies, involving a 6 page feminist analysis of a Disney movie, I know, right?), and only 3 to go. I'm pretty excited about my assignment for Writing, I must say, because Michael said we could do whatever the fuck we wanted, and I'm all about that. I decided to pick up on a short story I started probably over a year ago. It is my first involving a non-linear story line, hopefully it works out and is interesting enough for people (my classmates) to want to read. My other two should be a breeze and I'm not going to stress! Yay! I will take full advantage of this "finals calm" because I'll probably NEVER feel it at the end of a term, EVER again.

My little cousin's birthday is tomorrow, which is fantastic. She'll be 12, one year closer to the dreaded teen years, the first few being the most painful. Fuck... I hated high school, I'm sure I'll mention that again sometime. For now, I've had enough of listening to my mind run around in random, zig-zag formations inside my skull. Over and out.

So this is how it works...

So here I am, listening to music, writing diary entries in my head when it comes to me... Why not a blog? I've never been one for diaries, I can't keep one of those things to save my life. But I'm on the internet practically every day, doing shit that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme, so why not try something different? I can waste time on Facebook all day, or I can try to do something I'm proud of.

About myself:
I'm a college student in Oregon. I am a writer (of both fiction and non) and an aspiring journalist. My life includes my family, school, writing, and music. So this, for me, will be a place to explore my thoughts (you know, get that shit on paper, so to speak), discuss books, music, life, love, loss, etc... all of those things that we all talk to (mostly) ourselves about, especially when we know no one will care. This is going to be informal... so cursing and rambling will be included. Thanks for your time and interest.
